The abundant stone resources in China have created the base for a stone industry that has become a flourishing national industry. The marble, granite, and sand industries have a high degree of development and have extended to all cities, provinces, and regions with all types of models and varieties. There are currently at least 240 varieties of granite, 58 of marble, and 8 varieties of slabs. Today, China has an industry made up of small and medium sized companies that have emerged in the past 20 years across the country.

With 30 years of experience in the international market, China has exported its products to 126 countries, and its industry represents 16% of the total stone market in the world. In addition, the Far East country is an importer of large quantities of rough natural stone for its industrialisation and commercialisation in foreign markets. China has thus positioned itself as one of the world’s greatest stone exporters.
