The 2009 edition of the Poznań stone fair features seminars and conferences focusing on topics such as marketing and economics, construction stone industry issues; stone for architects and stone and its relationship with advertising.

The seminar “The new challenges for the stone industry” will analyze the impact of the exchange rate fluctuations on business operations from the marketing and economics perspective. The stone industry’s condition is quite contingent on the foreign exchange markets’ situation. The foreign exchange fluctuations in the last year have wrought havoc among importers of raw materials and stone products.

The conference, which will be presented by a foreign exchange expert, will attempt to tackle questions such as what to expect in 2010, or what are the economic signs that should be read as signs of potential change in foreign exchange in the future, etc.

The conference “Ideas for marketing stone. Questions and answers” will clearly lay out the different possibilities for promoting the use of stone in the construction business. The conference will focus on the new and innovative ideas of the stone industry from Italy, France and Germany. The conference will also address the issue of continuously promoting stone as a long-lasting and exclusive solution. Lastly, a market analysis, focused on potential buyers and their decision-making processes, will be presented.
